FACES Nonviolent Leadership Program Facilitator

Position Description:    

This staff person will be part of the Youth Collective and assume joint responsibility for maintaining the quality of the Youth Program as well as direct service and outreach.

Examples of Duties:

  1. Group facilitation: Planning and facilitating groups in schools or other community settings.
  2. Performing administrative and reporting requirements for the FACES Nonviolent Leadership Program.
  3. Curriculum and activity development for the FACES Nonviolent Leadership Program.
  4. Attend assigned trainings and continuing education to remain current in practice.
  5. Participation in designated inter-program, agency-wide, and community activities.
  6. Participation in the collective decision making process.
  7. Other duties as assigned.

Skills and Qualifications:

  1. Knowledge of, and commitment to, gender equality and the feminist perspective, the empowerment and equality of all cultural groups served by CfN as well as the ending of oppression based on race, age, gender, gender identity, sexual     orientation, class, religion or disability.
  2. Commitment to nonviolent practice in personal and professional life.
  3. Strong written and oral communication skills.
  4. Ability to work with minimal supervision, self-motivated, attentive to detail, well organized, dependable, productive, and function well under deadlines and multiple priorities.
  5. Ability to relate well to staff, school administrators and individuals from a variety of socio-economic backgrounds, particularly low income.
  6. Professional commitment to confidentiality and ethics.
  7. Bilingual applicants and people of all races and ethnicities are encouraged to apply.
  8. Professional training or education in ethics, social work, social services or human services a plus.
