Website Overview: Law for Change

We do NOT offer legal advice at the library. So,  we’ll refer you to resources or lawyers to answer these sorts of questions. As a result, we’re on the look-out for nonprofit law resources. We may have found something you can use.

LawForChange® is a legal resource for the U.S. social sector which includes social entrepreneurs and innovators, social enterprises, charities, community organizations, philanthropies, faith-based organizations and all manner of nonprofit organizations.

LawForChange was created and is owned by the Lex Mundi Pro Bono Foundation, a tax-exempt affiliate of Lex Mundi, the world’s leading association of independent law firms. – http://www.lawforchange.org/lfc/About_Us.asp?SnID=1685802333

Materials specific to Indiana include:

Employment
Forms of organization
Governance
Intellectual property
Lobbying registration and resources
State fundraising

Other resources include links to:

And, it wouldn’t be a legal site without a disclaimer of its own.
