No, it’s not a typo.

Apparently, there is an attempt to coin the term “slactivists” for today’s 20-somethings with regard to their involvement in philanthropic causes and organizations.

An article recently posted to Guidestar explains in more detail what a “slactivist” is exactly, and offers many tips on how to engage this group of young people and get them actively involved in nonprofit organizations.

The tips came as a result of a study that explored what causes are important to these 20-somethings and looked at what potential marketing programs might successfully engage this group.
