7th Annual National Philanthropy Day

Join the Association of Fundraising Professionals(AFP) as we celebrate the 50th anniversary of  AFP and local philanthropy.  The highlight of the event will be the presentation of five awards to local individuals and organizations for exceptional commitment to the community through direct financial support, development of charitable programs, volunteering, and leadership in philanthropy that encourages others to become involved in philanthropic endeavors that benefit our community.

The purpose of National Philanthropy Day® (NPD) is to recognize and celebrate philanthropy’s role in the enrichment of our community and to honor the people and organizations whose philanthropic gifts of time, talent, and treasure have made northeast Indiana a better place.

The five categories are:

  • Outstanding Youth in Philanthropy (K-12)
  • Outstanding Youth in Philanthropy (college age)
  • Outstanding Corporate Philanthropist
  • Outstanding Philanthropist
  • Outstanding Nonprofit Leader

You won’t want to miss out on what is sure to be an inspiring morning of celebration and fellowship, so mark your calendar and save November 17, 2010 (7:30 a.m. – 9:30 a.m.) to celebrate the philanthropic spirit of our community.

Nominations for an individual or an organization for one of the five Outstanding Philanthropist Awards are due by Friday, October 1, 2010. Award Criteria and Nomination Forms are available here.

Please note that the full day educational offerings of previous National Philanthropy Day Events will not be occuring in 2010.

Registration information will be available in September.
