X & Y: Gender and Generational Differences in Charitable Giving
Location: Community Foundation of Greater Fort Wayne
Time: 9:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. Registration deadline: May 14, 2012.
Fundraisers know that people give differently at different points in their lives. Many also report that women focus on distinct issues, compared with men. In this session, we will hear from one of the leading practitioner researchers in this field, Melissa Brown, about the newest findings about generational preferences for learning about your organization and about giving to it. She will also explore decision-making criteria used by men and women and ways that fundraisers can use this knowledge to present their case to potential donors.

The Center for Congregations presents,
This workshop helps people of faith think about their cultural vocations and discern what it means to carry their religious identity with them Monday through Saturday in the midst of a changing culture. Participants will look at cultivating what is already good and creating ways to add new ideas to encourage flourishing environments.
Workshop facilitator Andy Crouch talks about postures people of faith can adopt toward a culture of critics and consumers. Workshop participants will:
- Map the significant cultural goods and institutions in their congregation’s immediate neighborhood. (more…)

Dawn Martz, Foellinger Program Officer and Mike Stone, Consultant provided two workshops at ACPL December 15th on the basics of developing a logic model.
Locally Foellinger Foundation is the only foundation currently requiring a logic model in a grant application.
Because logic models are useful in developing a nonprofit’s program activities with clear, measurable outcomes, we recommend you become familiar with the process.
