2012 Program Schedule

About Ongoing Classes:

  • Training is Free. Parking is free with an ACPL Library card.
  • Registration is required. You may register one month prior to trainings. You may register for Grant Basics II at the time that you attend Grant Basics I.
  • Grant Basics I and II occur monthly, except in August.
    You will learn grant seeking strategy using the 900-PF and the Foundation Directory Online. Once you learn to find funders, you will learn the basic components of proposals, writing tips, vocabulary and resources for further study.
  • 23@4 Programs are designed to get busy nonprofit professionals information and resources to hit the ground running. This series falls on the 23rd each month and runs from 4 until 5 pm. Resources and handouts will be posted here when available and “shareable.” *We will not meet on weekends.

Announcing: SpringBoard!
SpringBoard is a series of five programs to help your board recruit, retain and engage a new generation of board members. Our first five 23@4 programs of 2012 are SpringBoard! programs.

January: Nonprofit PSA Fundamentals
February: Understanding Founder’s Syndrome
March: Where are You in the Nonprofit Lifecycle?
April: Recruit and Orient New Board Members
May: Engaging Young Leaders as Board Members

August:  Sources for Statistics, Data, and Research
October: Project Management Tips and Tools for Nonprofits

Additional Programs, Workshops and Networking Opportunities: Presented as needed, often in collaboration with other organizations. Sign up for the newsletter to receive notice of offerings.

  • Meet the Funders, June 19, 2012, gives you the chance to hear area funders speak about their giving priorities and ask questions face to face. Attend panel and/or speed-dating portion.
  • A Nonprofit Resource Fair will be held in early autumn. At the fair you will learn more about local nonprofit support organizations, through three minute summaries followed by a fair. Date TBD.
